The place

Mountain house at 935 m on the Velebit, at Baške Oštarije (Lika-Senj, Croatia), managed by HPD Prpa. It is actually a hamlet of several bungalows founded by Vlado Prpić, each named and decorated differently; one is set up as a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Velebit. Total capacity of 60 beds. Open year-round. Drinks available. Access via the paved Gospić-Karlobag road, then 500 m of paved path before the tunnel. A site of regional importance. Contact: Marko Prpić, 098/332-469.
