Refuge de la Plan Lombardie: Rustic Charm in the Mountains The Refuge de la Plan Lombardie, nestled in a picturesque alpine setting, offers an authentic experience in the middle of nature. With a capacity of 21 people, this refuge is open and staffed from late May to late September, plus weekends from late April to late May and from late September to late October. Facilities and Equipment The refuge has a section accessible outside staffed periods, including a 6-bed room with sheets, pillows and blankets, a dining/kitchen area equipped with a gas stove, dishes and cooking utensils, and a wood stove with a woodpile outside. In winter, water and electricity are cut off, but battery lamps are available and water can be drawn from a basin outside 20m from the refuge. Dry toilets and cleaning supplies are also available. A financial contribution is requested for access outside staffed periods, and keys can be collected from a lockbox located in the toilet annex.
