The place

Plan de Ténibre site at 2,335 m in the core zone of the Mercantour National Park (Alpes-Maritimes, Haute-Tinée). A few old buildings and a small lake. A waypoint on the routes up Mont Ténibre (3,031 m). Originally a pastoral structure, to be used as an occasional shelter.
