Basic 2-bunk DOC bivouac at 1,250 m in the Kokatahi and Whitcombe rivers area, near Hokitika (West Coast). Free access, no fee. The approach route is no longer maintained by DOC: occasional track clearing is provided by the Permolat association; independent navigation and technical skills are recommended.
