Pinchgut Hut

The place

Standard 9-bunk DOC hut in Mount Thomas Forest Conservation Area (North Canterbury), at 360 m. Access via Taaffes Glen Road / Pinchgut Track in 3 h, or via Bob's Camp Biv and Cattle Peak Route in 3 h. No booking, payment by hut tickets (blue for adults, yellow for children) or Backcountry Hut Pass (NZ$10/5 until 30 June 2026).
