Standard 4-bunk DOC hut in the Silverpeaks Scenic Reserve (Coastal Otago). Memorial cabin named after Philip J. Cox. Basic bunks, honesty box, no fires allowed in the Silverpeaks (environmental and safety reasons); grass emergency helicopter landing area next to it. Rates (until 30 June 2026) NZ$10/5 adult/youth, free under 4. Access from SH1 at Waitati (north of Dunedin) via Double Hill Road / Mountain Road.
