High-altitude alpine pasture hut at 2084 m in the broad Pfattner Tal amid larches, in the Sarntal (Sarntal Alps, South Tyrol, Italy). An idyllic alpine setting in the heart of wide grazing meadows. Access from Durnholz: follow the access track toward the Durnholzer See, then marked trail no. 22 "Latzfonser Kreuz - Pfattner Albl". A key waypoint on the route to the Kassianspitze (2581 m), a classic loop from Durnholz via the Pfattner Albl or the Großbachtal. AVS (Alpenverein Südtirol) is active in the area — trails maintained and marked.
