The place
Managed alpine pasture at 1740 m above Telfes, at the entrance to the Stubaital (Tyrol, Austria), at the foot of the Saile (Nockspitze, 2404 m), in a sparse forest. One of the best-managed alpine pastures in the region. About 2 h access, an ideal destination for families and afternoon hikes. Panorama from the flower-covered terrace: the Zillertal glacier with the mighty Olperer (3476 m), the entire Serleskamm and the Habicht (3277 m), the Stubai glacier with its high point the Zuckerhütl (3505 m). Several routes: via the Halsltal, the Hirtensteig, the forest road; the climb from Fulpmes via the steep Hirtensteig is among the most demanding but most beautiful.
Getting there
Départ depuis Kapfers (commune de Telfes im Stubai), au début de la route d'alpage. Randonnée d'environ 2h pour environ 700 m de dénivelé. Accessible aussi à vélo, ou en taxi-cabane sur réservation.

Alpage à l'entrée du Stubaital, sur la commune de Telfes im Stubai, Tyrol (Autriche), au sud-ouest d'Innsbruck. Aire de jeux, réception téléphonique correcte, pas de wifi, pas de nuitée possible, chiens autorisés.
A word from the warden
Auberge d'alpage exploitée de mai à octobre par le tenancier Hannes Kienzner ; restauration (grillades le week-end, gâteaux maison, plats du jour), mais pas de nuitée possible.
