The place
Unstaffed CAI Lanzo refuge located at 1810 metres at the Balma Bianca, in the municipality of Coassolo Torinese (Lanzo valleys, Piedmont). A stage on the Alta Via Canavesana and a base for the ascents of the Uja di Corio, Monte Vaccarezza and Cima dell'Angiolino. Key available on phone request to the section.
Getting there
Depuis Corio, suivre la direction de Ritornato ; remonter la route étroite en dépassant les hameaux dispersés, puis continuer jusqu'à Case Picat où l'on laisse la voiture avant de poursuivre à pied.
The setting
Bivouac/abri de montagne dans les vallées de Lanzo (secteur Valli Tesso e Malone), à proximité de l'Alpe Vaccarezza superiore. Point de passage sur l'Alta Via Canavesana (étape 2) et vers l'Uja di Corio.
