Neighbouring legs: Field Hut 3 h; Maungahuka Hut 3 h 30; Kime Hut 4 h. No booking required: Standard ticket (adults $10, youth $5, under 4 free) or Backcountry Hut Pass. Take care crossing unbridged rivers.
