Park Morpeth Hut

The place

A standard 6-bunk DOC hut in Arthur's Pass National Park (Canterbury), at 894 m. A memorial hut managed by the Canterbury Mountaineering Club (CMC). Free access for CMC members; non-members should check the CMC site for rates. Standard Backcountry Hut Passes do not apply. Important: the mountain radio service has ceased — carry a personal locator beacon (PLB) and check the weather before any backcountry trip.
