Palovartija autiotupa

The place

A free Metsähallitus autiotupa located within Syöte National Park, municipality of Pudasjärvi (North Ostrobothnia, on the edge of Lapland). On the roughly 3.5 km one-way Palovartija trail. Shared shelter, free access under the general autiotupa rules: open, unlocked, stays limited to one or two nights without booking. No supplies. Basic facilities: hearth, bench, table.
