Orri des Ludines
The place
No amenities other than a well-rusted metal door to close the place off so that another bear doesn't get in! Hut known locally as "cabane de la porte en fer" (the iron-door hut). The same one as the [->5390] coming from the GR10; it's a bit before the Cabane rive gauche (so the hut itself is further along on the right bank). On old IGN maps (mine dates from 2000, maybe the Y2K bug!), the Cabane des Ludines is marked where the Orri actually is — don't get them mixed up!
The setting
Abri pastoral traditionnel (orri) en pierre sèche, sans aucun équipement hormis la porte métallique. Point d'eau et forêt à moins de 100m. Secteur vallée d'Aston, Pyrénées ariégeoises.
A bit of history
Connue localement sous le nom de « cabane de la porte en fer », en raison d'une porte métallique rouillée qui est son seul équipement notable.
