The place

Wilderness cabin (eräkämppä) located on the west shore of Nuuksio National Park, by Lake Ruuhilampi (Espoo municipality, southern Finland). Originally built as a summer cottage in 1946. Main building and a separate sauna building, with a woodshed, storage space and dry composting toilet. Sleeps 6, accessible year-round. No electricity or running water: bring your own water and lighting. Easy access by public transport followed by about 4 km on foot from the Kattila car park. Managed by Natura Viva; booking required.
