The place

Historic shepherd's hut in Kosciuszko National Park (NSW, Australia), at 1,355 m on the western slope of the Brindabella Ranges. Built in 1925 by Jack Feeney for Bill and Emma Oldfield, holders of a grazing lease. A classic example of high-country hut architecture; its careful siting and construction make it a favourite among hikers. KHA no. 1601. Centenary celebrated in 2025 with NSW NPWS, the caretakers and the Oldfield family. Capacity and pricing details not published; managed by the Kosciuszko Huts Association.
