Olabu

The place

One of three cabins at the Olalia site, managed by Haugesund Turistforening (DNT) near Hauganutene (Rogaland/Vestland, Norway), at 467 m altitude. Olabu, built in 1975, comprises a single room with 4 sleeping places, a kitchenette, and a dining table. Open year-round, unlocked. No food stores kept in the cabin: supplies available from the Fjellstova when open, or from the neighboring emergency cabin. Olabu allows dogs. Water is cut off in winter; toilets at Olalia Fjellstove. Access from Rus in Etne, Litledalen, Helgeland/Fjellstøl in Sandeid, or from Opheim (Olalivegen).
