The place
Self-catering hut at 1,525 m in the Wetterstein range, in the municipality of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, run by the DAV Garmisch-Partenkirchen section. Established in 1922, run by the hut warden Jakob Zehentbauer. Main use: climbing on the Zundernköpfe, Oberreintalköpfe, Schüsselkartürme, and Dreitorspitze. Self-catering system: guests bring their own breakfast and dinner, prepared communally at 7 pm. Cold and hot drinks available, morning coffee and tea. Seasonal reopening on Whit Monday 2026 (25 May).
