Mountain malga at around 1917-1924 m above Laurein (Lauregno) in the Deutschnonsberg (South Tyrol, Italy) — not in the Tyrolean Karwendel as a default classification might suggest. Set along the Bonacossa trail, below the Ultner Hochwart and the Mandlspitz. A classic stage of the Malga di Cloz / Cloz Alm - Untere Kessel Alm - Obere Kessel Alm loop (~6.6 km, 324 m elevation gain). Preserved alpine setting between the Val di Non / Deutschnonsberg and Val d'Ultimo. A typical South Tyrolean malga stopover with a dairy and traditional cheesemaking, in the area of the municipality of Laurein.
