A bit of history
Ancienne station norvégienne de chasse/piégeage et de radio ('Jonsbu Radio'), fondée en 1932 par le trappeur et journaliste John Schjelderup Giæver, l'une des trois stations de la revendication territoriale norvégienne 'Eirik Raudes Land' (1931-33, abandonnée). Incendiée en 1943 par la garde côtière américaine, reconstruite en 1948 plus au sud sous le nom 'Ny-Jonsbu'. Aujourd'hui abandonnée, en ruines.
