Basic 2-bunk DOC bivouac at 615 m in Tararua Forest Park (Wellington/Kapiti, NZ). Access via Scotts Road through forested areas, but no marked trail: good navigation skills required (lots of bush with no clear landmarks). Free. River crossings should be avoided when in flood.
