Nonsbu

The place

Small, intimate hut of the Troms Turlag network, in the Skittenelvdalen area near Tromsø, set in a flat spot at the head of the valley. Built in 1961, it had 6 bunks (2 + 4) in two sections. No duvets, only wool blankets — bring a sleeping bag. Access from Tønsvik: about 7.5 km / 2h30. Connects to Trollvassbu (east), Blåkollkoia (west), Skarvassbu (south). **CLOSED INDEFINITELY since 2022 following a fire caused by a propane bottle explosion (NRK).**
