The place

Metsähallitus päivätupa (day cabin, no overnight stay) on the shore of Lake Kutujärvi, in the Arctic Circle Hiking Area northeast of Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland. Small open, unlocked shelter available during the day, equipped with a stove, a table, an outdoor fireplace, firewood and dry toilets. Capacity of ~4 people for a rest stop and hot meal, no overnight stay — overnight accommodation is available at a nearby autiotupa or campsite. Accessible via the marked trails of the Arctic Circle Trail.
