Niingshytta

The place

Unstaffed cabin managed by Evenes Turlag (an independent association not affiliated with DNT), located near Lake Niingsvatnet in Troms (northern Norway), on the route linking Blåvatnhytta to Skoddeberghytta. Six bunks: wood burner, firewood, beds with blankets and mattresses, plus sleeping places in the mezzanine; sleeping bag liner or sleeping bag required. Open all year round, unlocked. Summer access from Bogen on the E10 via the marked trail tro61, from Skoddeberghytta heading east via tro61, or from Blåvatnhytta heading west via tro32. Allows a seven-hour stage to be split in two.
