Niemipuro

The place

Autiotupa (free open wilderness hut) of Metsähallitus at the confluence of Niemipuro and Koitajoki, on the Tapio tai-paale trail (Pohjois-Karjala, Finland). **Former sauna of the Kokkokankaan kämpä moved to its current location in 1955** and converted into a logging camp; renovated in 2002. Capacity for 4-5 people, fireplace, fire ring, woodshed. Open year-round, no reservation, free for 1-2 nights.
