Standard-category DOC hut with eight bunks located at 229 m in Te Urewera (Hawke's Bay), on the Whakatāne River tramping tracks sector. Check before setting out: since 2022, Te Uru Taumatua (Ngāi Tūhoe's operational entity) has been progressively withdrawing 44 huts from Te Urewera, and DOC now redirects its Te Urewera pages to this shared inventory.
