The place

The largest complex on the Fjordruta route (4th cabin from Kristiansund airport), in the municipality of Aure (Møre og Romsdal), at roughly 200 m elevation, north of Ertvågsøya with a view over the Foldfjorden. Seven buildings — base of KNT Barnas Turlag (the children's group). Capacity of 16 beds: Stabburet 8, Sommerfjøset 8; the main house can be rented for groups of 40+. Facilities: gas stove, provisions shop, shower, climbing wall, woodworking workshop. Fastest year-round access from the road near Grøneng, about 15 min along a toll road closed to unauthorized traffic with parking — rideable by bike. Family- and child-friendly, SignaTur (premium long-distance route). Locked with a DNT key.
