The place

The highest of the six Napoléon huts built in the 19th century, set on the Col d'Izoard at 2290 m on the D902 between the Briançonnais and the Queyras, in the commune of Cervières (Hautes-Alpes). Main building dating from 1858, extended in 1880 and again in 1978. Sleeps around twenty in rooms that have kept their period character. Open from 6 June to 27 September 2026, daily from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm. Half-board from €95 per person. Also staffed in winter. An authentic historic-refuge atmosphere on one of the legendary stages of the Tour de France.
