The place
Mountain centre (Gelli Iago, a former farm) at 161 m in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, on the bank of a tumbling stream at the foot of Cnicht, with splendid views of Snowdon, Moel Hebog and the Glyders (Gwynedd, Wales, United Kingdom). Capacity of up to 22 people in 4 rooms, equipped kitchen, comfortable dining room, drying room, showers and toilets, separate classroom/games/study room. Ideally placed for hillwalking, climbing and expedition camps, a short distance from Beddgelert and the coastal beaches. Walking access to Cnicht, the Moelwynion and the Snowdon massif for trained walkers, but also many gentler low-level walks. Membership-based organisation (Affiliated membership for groups, Individual membership with monthly weekend outings). Has hosted schools, colleges, scouts and independent groups for over 60 years.
