The place

Free Metsähallitus päivätupa (day cabin) located on the east edge of Valkmusa National Park, at the foot of Moronvuori, in the northeastern part of Kananiemensuo (southeastern Finland). Building with a firewood shelter (polttopuusuoja). Signposted from Route 170 near Iivarinmäki (from the west, before the Heinlahti nature reserve). Marked trail from the Kananiemenharju car park. Day-use cabin only, free access without booking, managed by Metsähallitus.
