The place

Unstaffed refuge of the Aust-Agder Turistforening (DNT), the most visited cabin in Aust-Agder, situated on a small rise overlooking Lake Mjåvatnet in Setesdal Austheien (Norway). Total capacity of 18 beds: main building with 12 places (living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, the larger with a wide bunk bed and two single bunk beds, the smaller with two bunk beds); lakeside safety cabin with 6 places (shared living room-kitchen, two bedrooms separated by a curtain, each with a family bunk bed). Six beds bookable in the main building and 3 in the annex (12 bookable in total). About 1 h access from the Gjevden car park. Booking via hyttebestilling.dnt.no.
