The place
Private hut of the Grindelwald Mountain Guides' Association, perched at 3355 m altitude on the Mittellegigrat (northeast ridge of the Eiger, Bernese Oberland). Originally built in 1924, rebuilt in 2001 and then renovated and extended in 2019. 28 beds in the hut + 10 places in an annex shelter (38 in total in summer). Extended kitchen, dining room for all. Grade II climbing approach from the Ostegg.
