Traditional falu red wooden stuga on the shore of a glacial lake, in the boreal taiga of Scots pines, spruces and birches. Heritage of the Ume Sami people (a critically endangered language, fewer than 20 speakers), historic area of Swedish settlement toward the north (Norrland, 18th-19th centuries).
