DOC beach house in Mimiwhangata Coastal Park (Northland, NZ), 48 km north of Whangārei, at 23 m. Sleeps 7 across 2.5 bedrooms (bunks, a queen bed, a double bed with a single). Full kitchen, electric cooking, BBQ and wood fire (May-October). Hot water and a modern bathroom. Rates: $477/week off-peak (June-Oct, Feb-June), $770/week shoulder season (Oct-Nov), $1,871/week peak season (Dec-Feb). Online booking mandatory (through June 2027), same-day until 8pm. No pets. No mobile coverage. Launching restricted to hand-carried boats. Activities: swimming, snorkelling, tracks (Peninsula Loop Walk, Tohumoana Lookout Track). Marine protected area: wildlife must not be disturbed.
