DOC Beach House in Mimiwhangata Coastal Park (Northland, NZ), 48 km north of Whangārei, at 23 m. Sleeps 7 across 2.5 bedrooms (bunks, queen bed, double bed with single). Full kitchen, electric cooking, BBQ and wood fire (May-October). Hot water and modern bathroom. Rates: NZ$477/week off-peak (June-Oct, Feb-June), NZ$770/week shoulder season (Oct-Nov), NZ$1,871/week peak season (Dec-Feb). Online booking required (until June 2027), same-day until 8 pm. No pets. No mobile coverage. Only hand-launched dinghies allowed. Activities: swimming, snorkelling, tracks (Peninsula Loop Walk, Tohumoana Lookout Track). Marine protected area: wildlife must not be touched.
