Mikonui Spur Bivouac

The place

Basic two-bunk DOC bivouac at 1123 m on the Mikonui Spur ridge, Hokitika area (West Coast). Set on a flat bench just below the shrub line. Accessed from the mouth of the Dickson River, on the true right bank, via the Mikonui roadend. Part of a maintained circuit linking Noisy Basin and the Whitcombe Valley. Free access, no charge.
