The place

Vuokratupa (bookable rental cabin) run by Metsähallitus, reached via a car park near junction 103 then 0.8 km on foot along a branch of the Herajärvi trail. Full amenities: sauna, separate dry toilet, rowboat with oars and life jackets for 4 people, woodshed, outdoor fire pit. Bookings for a maximum of 1 week at a time, open season 15 May - 1 October 2026. Key in a code-locked box, sent by e-mail after payment. Yard and buildings reserved exclusively for the renter. Cleaning is the renter's responsibility before departure; dish soap, fire-starting materials and toilet paper not provided. Managed by Metsähallitus Parks & Wildlife Finland.
