The place

Self-service DNT hut located at 795 m in Femundsmarka, near Røros (Trøndelag). Thirteen beds in total: eight bookable in advance, five available on a first-come basis. Self-service mode from 15 February to 15 October. Locked with the standard DNT key; at least one DNT member is required in the group. Facilities: fully equipped kitchen, wood stoves for heating, gas lighting, no electricity; candles and gas for light. A small dog room with two kennels. Summer access: 17 km on foot from Røros, or by car to Harsjøen. Winter access: ski routes or 3 km on foot from the ploughed road. Payment via the DNT app or an on-site form; cash is no longer accepted. Guests are responsible for preparing meals, washing up, and general upkeep. Building opened in 2000, partly funded by Norsk Tipping profits.
