The place

A self-service DNT cabin owned by Hamar og Hedemarken Turistforening (HHT) on the Hedmarksvidda (Innlandet, Norway), at 729 m. 10 beds: two rooms with 4 beds each and 2 extra beds in the common room. Building renovated in 1984. Solar lighting, propane cooking, wood stove. One room has a dog nook. Bedding provided; sleeping bag or sheet required. Self-service food supplies depot. Well water to be boiled. Summer access by car via road 25 near Løiten Brænderi (22 km from the cabin). Winter: ski in from Budor (5-7 km) or Kveådammen (3 km), part of the Hedmarksvidda trail network. An important area for wild reindeer from southern Rondane (marked trails, dogs on leash).
