The place
High-altitude malga at 1780 m in the Lagorai range (eastern Trentino), tucked in the forest, on the route linking the lakes to Campo Carlo Magno and the Val di Sole. A stopover on the short Lagorai loops, and a possible stage of the SAT TransLagorai — the full traverse of the range from Panarotta to Passo Rolle (85 km), comparable to a genuine Himalayan-style trek. The Lagorai is Trentino's largest mountain complex (~1000 km²), a high-value natural area protected under the Natura 2000 network. A very well-preserved pastoral setting, with Slow Food malga cheeses (the "Formaggio di malga del Lagorai" Presidio).
