The place
Alpine dairy hut (malga) at 1662 m at the foot of Monte Roen, in the municipality of Amblar-Don in the Val di Non (Trentino). A classic stage of the Giro delle Malghe del Roen, an easy and scenic route through larch forests with views over the valley. A typical pastoral setting of Trentino alpine pastures with a traditional dairy and cheesemaking. Open in summer (according to the grazing calendar), basic meals and lodging. A good base for loops between the malghe of the Roen.
