The place

Sleeping capacity: 14 Places on mattresses: 10 Large ONF refuge in 2 separate parts: - 1 large (huge) with table, bench, fireplace, and dormitory (camp beds) for 10 (from memory) upstairs. - 1 smaller one with sleeping platforms for 4 and a fireplace. Overall the refuge is in good condition but could use a good clean! A bit grim inside... From Vernet-les-Bains, go up to Casteil, then to the Col de Jou (parking). Marked trail to the refuge via the Col de Creu and the Col du Cheval Mort. ONF
