The place

Cabin meant for taking meals and warming up. Fireplace, tables, bench, chairs but nothing to sleep on. That said, the cabin is sound and 6 to 8 people could sleep there on the floor. Renovated in summer 2022: holes patched, white paint, coat racks and shelves installed. Follow the forest track that runs from Comus to the Col de la Gardie until two hairpin bends. The cabin is on the right 200m after the bends, after a sharp right turn. This cabin belongs to the ONF (National Forestry Office) and is in principle meant to shelter forest workers. Today, to my great surprise, the heavy iron door controlling access was open. Don't count on it too much, and don't abuse it.
