The place

Free autiotupa run by Metsähallitus in the northern part of the Kevo Strict Nature Reserve (Utsjoki, northern Lapland), Sámi name Mádjohka. Located on the east bank of the Davimuš Mádjohsuorgi (a tributary of the Mádjohka) at its confluence with the Borgebeaskaávži. Log cabin in good condition, built in 1964. **Access restricted to 16 October–30 April only** (winter use — the nature reserve is closed to hikers in summer). A relocation project outside the reserve was not carried out because the cabin specifically serves winter hikers. Free stopover, no reservation, under the standard autiotupa rules.
