The place

Metsähallitus vuokratupa on Luutsaari island in Isojärvi National Park (Kuhmoinen, Keski-Suomi). 1960s-style building for 6 people on a hill above Lake Isojärvi. Access by boat (rental boat provided to the tenant) or by forest path from the landing. Sauna, jetty and rowing boat in the lakeside yard. Dogs not allowed. Paimenviikot (Metsähallitus "shepherd weeks") site: the cabin is reserved for shepherds from June to early September; standard bookings outside this window via Eräluvat.fi (€135/night from 15 May 2026).
