The place

Standard DOC hut with 12 bunks at 62 m in the western sector of Fiordland National Park (NZ). No booking: Standard ticket (adults $10, youth $5, under 4 free) or Backcountry Hut Pass. Didymo is present in Lake Manapouri and the Waiau River, absent from the Spey and Loch Maree: avoid filling bottles in contaminated waters and follow Check-Clean-Dry.
