Lizumer Hütte
The place
The Lizumer Hütte is a staffed hut at 2019 m elevation at the heart of the Tuxer Alps (Tyrol, Austria), directly on the Zentralalpenpfad 02A, the Traumpfad Munich-Venice and the Inntaler Höhenweg in the Wattentaler Lizum. Owned by the Hall section of the ÖAV (Austrian Alpine Club). Run by Tobias Spechter and Lukas Aichhorn, awarded the ÖAV quality label. A remarkable position in the middle of a high plateau. In the immediate vicinity: a pond, an alpine cheese dairy, a bouldering wall and a 9 m top-rope climbing route. Activities: hiking, ski touring, climbing. Important: the hut lies within the Austrian Armed Forces training grounds, a restricted military zone.
Getting there
On the Zentralalpenpfad 02A, Traumpfad Munich-Venice and Inntaler Höhenweg. Military zone rules must be respected.
