Liezener Hütte: A Traditional Mountain Refuge in the Toten Gebirge The Liezener Hütte is an alpine refuge of the Liezen section of the ÖAV, located at an altitude of 1762 meters in the Toten Gebirge massif. The refuge is accessible from Wörschach, Weißenbach bei Liezen or Liezen. Construction History The refuge was built in 1924 and inaugurated on August 24, 1924. In 1936 it was extended, and the land was acquired in 1958. In 1989 renovation work was carried out, and in 1999 a wooden extension was added. Access From Liezen (664 m) in 3 hours' walk.
