The place

Free Metsähallitus autiotupa between Lenkihaa and Pahtavaara on the eastern shore of Lake Aiteenjoen latvajärvi, in the Pöyrisjärvi wilderness area (Enontekiö, Tunturi-Lappi). North Sámi name Šleŋgehat. Capacity of 10 sleeping spots on bunks, essential kitchen utensils, outdoor dry toilet and woodshed. No sauna or running water. Pets allowed with the agreement of other users. Site maintained under the Kilpisjärvi-Käsivarsi programme (31 actively maintained cabins). Free stopover, no reservation, under the standard autiotupa arrangement.
