The place

Unstaffed cabin owned by Magnor ungdomslag (local association, not affiliated with DNT), located on the western shore of Lake Leirsjøen, right next to the Norway-Sweden border (100 m from Grensesømmen), in south-eastern Norway. Fully equipped building: at least 12 sleeping places on wooden platforms in the main room, full kitchen, changing rooms and showers, running water and electricity. Cabin locked with a special key, advance booking required by phone at 62 83 71 62 (Anita Johnsen). Flat rate of NOK 2,000 per weekend regardless of group size, daily rates also available; bring a sleeping bag or liner. Open year-round.
