Le Prese Malga Bivacco
The place
A former malga converted into a free bivouac, set at 1442 m in a beautiful cirque below Monte Vallazza, on the fringe of the Vette Feltrine — a lightly frequented area of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, off the main routes. Building renovated in 2004 by the park authority: ground floor furnished with a table, a cupboard, a stove, and a gas burner; wooden mezzanine with four sleeping spots on mattresses; photovoltaic panel powering basic lighting. Sweeping views from the Passo Broccon and the Cima d'Asta on the left to the Lagorai range and then the Pale di San Martino on the right. Access from Aune in the municipality of Sovramonte (Belluno), via Bocior or Zorzoi on trail 308.
